ORDERING
The procedure for ordering is as follows:
Please
email us your list of parts. Please include your name, address
and telephone number
and we will confirm back the total including freight cost to your
location. We will quote you and if that is acceptable we will send you a payment
web link for secure credit card payment. If the goods need to be
delivered with any urgency, please let us know with your enquiry because
this may figure in the quote as regards the carrier choice and cost.
Please also bear in mind our minimum order value is £10+VAT (20%) before
postage.
Alternatively you can call us on
01322 442990 (9.30am to
5.30pm Tuesday to Friday, an answerphone collect
your details outside of
these hours).
We accept Credit cards,
or Bank Transfer.
Immediately payment is clear we will despatch
and confirm back to you by email.
POINTS TO
NOTE
Visits
by arrangement only. We do not
have a showroom, and in general don't have the staff to cater for
extended visits/perusal of parts etc. Pickup of goods is possible but by
arrangement and where the details of the order have already been settled
by phone or email.
Out of Stock Goods - All out of stock goods
are placed on back order, and despatched on the arrival of new stocks,
unless we receive an emailed cancellation request before despatch. Back
orders are fulfilled on a first in first out basis. Credit cards are
only debited when despatch is imminent.
Credit Cards -
For International buyers, many credit card issuers have an
automatic block on card transactions outside their home territory, in
order to protect against card fraud. If you have problems with getting
your card details through our payment page, we recommend your first
action should be to call your card issuer to let them know and ask them
to free up the card for the transaction. Then try again after a short
time.
We reserve the right to deliver your first order of Goods to the
cardholder’s registered address, regardless of any alternative address
that you may provide to us. Deliver of goods
to any alternative (non card holder) address will be at our discretion.
We shall not be responsible to you provided we deliver the Goods to
either one of either the cardholder’s registered address or any alternative address
provided.
Carriage Transit Times and Cost
- Our aim is to despatch goods the same day as payment is processed.
Goods out of stock and other reasons (see above), can cause delays in
despatch of an order. Should there be a reason for a delay in despatch, we will
email you immediately to allow you the option to cancel your order.
The customer
is ultimately responsible for all freight costs
as we invoice for the goods value and transport costs at the time of
despatch. However the customer is also solely liable for any import tax costs
and clearance fees that may apply in your country. We are happy
to offer the best arrangements we can to you for transport. There are
sometimes
multiple options on transit depending on the destination and your
priority, speed or cost. We generally send goods so as to trade off speed against cost. Two to three working day delivery within the UK is
typical. Between 3 and 4 days
transit time to the US is normal. And between 3 and 4
days to Europe. Customs clearance may create delays
and are out of our control. We can arrange for
expedited services if required, subject still
to customs clearance queries and courier delays out of our control.
Please email us at the time of order with your name and address if you
would like this option and we will quote you.
Courier service to most
locations is currently via Fedex
or DHL. For most couriers and locations, they
have a policy of return to sender if the consignee is not available at
the address provided to accept delivery and does not telephone to
arrange an alternative delivery time within the time given on the card
left at the time of the first delivery. Rearranging the delivery to an
alternative location is possible if you contact us directly, but we
would need to charge you an extra free at our cost to arrange this, as
our courier charges us for changes once goods are in transit. If
time has gone by and pickup or
redelivery arrangements have not been made, or any requires customs fees
or taxes have not been paid by the customer, the courier will, after a
set number of days, return
the goods to us the sender, and we will be
charged for this return and any redelivery requested. In this situation,
if there are any return costs, we will need to pass all the extra costs
we incur onto
you the customer before we can arrange a new delivery, or by way of a
reduced credit if the order is cancelled.

For other parts of the UK, Highlands and
Islands and Northern Island or for other services, just email
for quote.
To Europe, carriage costings vary
depending on weight and country and freight costs
will be calculated on any quote we provide.
The carriage charge covers transport and insurance only.
Shipments are sent with INCOTERMS of DAP. We send from the UK
without charging any UK taxes. The UK has left the EU fully now and you
are liable for the delivery country's import taxes,
including VAT and any courier handling charges. These need to be paid to the
courier by you before the the goods are delivered. The courier will contact you
on the email or mobile details you provide with regard to payment of these costs ahead
of delivery. It is very important that you provide us with a reliable contact mobile number
and email address where you can be easily reached so the courier can
contact you without delays regarding customs clearance. If they do not
receive due payment of taxes and costs in reasonable time, they will normally return the goods to
us and any additional costs we have to pay to receive the parcel will
not be refundable. You can find some extra information regarding customs
clearance here.
Quotations -
Please do check details on any quotations provided in
detail against your original order/request. We do our best to get things
correct and interpret your needs as best we can. But mistakes or
misunderstandings can happen and can be expensive to correct once the
goods have left our premises. If in any doubt on an item shown in the
quotation, please ask.
The final quotation we provide is assumed to be
correct and accepted by you once paid for, and forms the basis of the
contract to supply. Assuming we have supplied the goods correctly as per
the quotation agreed, we do not accept liability for any costs involved
in the return of unsuitable items and/or the supply of replacements.
Orders for goods not usually stocked or made to special requirements are
accepted on the understanding that such orders are irrevocable.
Cancellation or refund of any deposit made cannot be accepted.
Package Delivery -
We endeavour to despatch all goods carefully
packed and consigned in good condition. In the
event that any parcel is in bad condition upon arrival, so that the
goods could conceivably be either damaged or missing,
we would kindly request that you
note this fact on the carrier's sheet when the goods
are signed for. Doing so will speed the process for
resolving our claims with the carrier and expedite the processing of
replacements to you. All claims for loss,
damage, missing items or erroneous goods must be made to us within
1 working day of the receipt of the goods, or
the claim may not be recognized. These are
the terms set by our couriers unfortunately, not by us. It is up to the
customer to make sure that all goods are checked fully and are accepted
as fit for their intended purpose before they are used and within the
time period mentioned above. Transit insurance cover remains with us until
the goods are signed by the customer or proxy as accepted in good order.
Returns - Should
you wish to return goods, we require that you email us of your intention before
despatch within 14 days of receiving the goods. We will then issue a returns number that should be quoted on
the returns note with the returned goods. All goods
returned to us
must be received by us within 14 days of your telling
us of your intention to return them. They must be received at our address as per our website,
safely packed, recorded delivery
carriage and full cover insurance paid.
They are sent at your risk. We do not cover return postage on goods
returned due to unsuitability or change of mind. Goods returned must be
received back in original condition including all their original
packaging and any documentation and within the 14 day limit mentioned
above. In any other condition or time period they will not be acceptable
for credit. No returns due to
unsuitability or change of mind are acceptable on items we do not
normally stock, ie items that have been special ordered for you or that
have been sized for you. NB Important. If you are sending
returns from outside the UK, please be sure to describe the goods as
'Goods returned to sender. Zero value for customs' on the customs
declaration. Failure to do this will likely lead to an import customs
tax that we would need to pay before receipt of the goods and we would
need to deduct this from any credit due to you.
If you require
urgent replacement parts faster than this returns process enables, we
can arrange this but we would need to charge for the replacements and
then credit any returns afterwards on receipt.
Guarantee - Goods
are guaranteed for one year from the date of invoice, and the guarantee
covers events occurring during the proper use of the product, excepting
accidental or deliberate damage or any malfunction attributable
to incorrect assembly, imperfect
maintenance, improper use or fair wear and tear. We may annul this
guarantee in cases of damage due to: 1) incorrect assembly, use or
maintenance, 2) Accidents, knocks, self inflicted
damage, tampering and/or modifications to the
original product, 3) Force Majeure, including fire, floods and other
natural disasters, 4) in the case of forks, damage to the finish or in
any product damage of an aesthetic nature due to the use of inappropriate
cleaning products or other chemicals, 5) in the case of tools damage due to abuse or
incorrect use, use without lubricants, use with the wrong lubricants, or
use on materials for which they were not designed, 6) in the case of framebuilding components we sell on the assumption that the builder has
the correct equipment and understanding of correct fabrication methods
and suitability of any parts supplied to produce a safe and
functional assembly for the agreed upon final use
and user. Framebuilding parts are not supplied
as 'retail' or 'good to go' products and may well require further
modification and finishing tools.
For faulty parts covered under the guarantee above, we reserve the right
to replace, repair, or credit at our discretion depending on
the extent to which the parts have been used, as well as the
result of our investigation into the causes of the problem.
If the damage is
not covered under warranty, then we will consult with you by email as to
how you want to proceed, whether to replacement or repair, both of which
will be chargable. WARNING
Please note that due to the desire in the sport to produce the lightest
bicycles, some of the components we sell, e.g. some
tubes or other structural elements, are
optimized for use in specific terrain or types of
riding only, and/or for particular weights or sizes of rider. Optimal building
techniques may be required to build suitably and safe frames for their
intended uses. Some parts may not be designed for use with certain high
strain equipment, for example disc brakes. Please ask for advice from a professional
frame builder if you are at all unsure of
your abilities, building equipment
or the suitability of the parts you plan to use.
We do not guarantee that it
will be possible to achieve 100% aesthetic perfection from polishing
castings made from stainless steel. We mostly supply our stainless cast
parts in the same unpolished condition as non stainless ones. If
polished, surface irregularities can become noticeable that were not
apparent at the beginning and it may not prove possible to polish them
away. This situation has arisen from time to time and is a
result of the imprecision of the casting production process. We do not
accept aesthetic imperfections under these circumstances as a reason for return,
replacement of parts or compensation for work done.
All these guarantees require goods to have been
stored in suitable conditions, and used for the purpose intended, all in
accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. No liability beyond the
replacement of the actual part
in query will be accepted
or for the cost we have charged for this part. In no event shall Ceeway Bike Building Supplies Ltd be liable
for incidental or consequential damage. In
cases of dispute regarding parts quality, the
final arbiter is the manufacturer.
Taxes -
Our INCOTERMS are DAP. All
the prices we quote via email or phone are given nett of UK sales tax
as is customary for trade businesses in the UK. In line with regulations, UK
sales tax will be added for goods sent to UK
destinations, even if invoiced and paid by customers outside the UK. UK
sales tax will not be charged by us for goods supplied to countries outside
of the UK. However local or national sales taxes
and customs duties may still be
levied or be liable on part or all of the shipment value upon import
to the destination country, and the carrier
may charge an additional administration fee for collecting this. If in
doubt regarding taxes that may be levied, please contact your local customs office. We
do not reduce the declared invoice value for customs purposes to avoid
any import taxes that may be chargeable to you, if they apply. It is
illegal for us to do this and we could be prosecuted and fined for doing
it. Please do not ask us.
